CTRL Review: Story, Cast Performance, Acting, Climax Analysis & Verdict - Hit or Flop?

The film CTRL, starring Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat, has been released on the OTT platform Netflix. After reading this review, you can decide whether to watch it this weekend or not.

Are we using technology, or is technology using us? The film CTRL, starring Ananya Panday and Vihaan Samat, attempts to answer this question. Six years ago, an internal Google video was leaked, in which Google's team was heard discussing a project called "Selfish Laser." They were discussing how people's data could be used to influence them. The story of Netflix's film CTRL is woven around this very topic.

Story of the Film
CTRL (a shortcut used on laptops for control) revolves around the story of social media influencer Nalini aka Nella (Ananya Panday) and her boyfriend Joe Mascarenhas (Vihaan Samat). They meet in college and then start their social media channel called 'Enjoy.' Their lives are going great, with millions of followers and new brands approaching them. However, one day Nella catches Joe kissing another girl, and after this, things escalate in ways you can't even imagine.

A fresh concept
The story of the film is quite fresh. Not only the story, but the way it is presented on screen is also impressive. In this modern world, where we install apps without thinking and give our consent without reading the terms and conditions, such a film is much needed.

Acting
The entire film rests on Ananya Panday's shoulders, and she has done full justice to her character. Vihaan, who plays Joe Mascarenhas, has also delivered a good performance.

Climax
The climax of the film is depressing but apt. A time will come when technology will dominate us so much that, even if we want to, we won't be able to stay away from it.
