Husn Tera Tauba Tauba Choreographer Bosco Martis Demands Recognition for His Work

Choreographer Bosco Martis, known for his memorable work on songs like “Senorita,” “Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” and “Gallan Goodiyaan,” recently spoke about the importance of celebrating choreographers in the film industry. Bosco, who choreographed Vicky Kaushal’s “Tauba Tauba,” expressed that he “shamelessly” wants to ensure choreographers are recognized and celebrated for their contributions.

Bosco's Call for Recognition
In a recent interview, Bosco emphasized that choreographers bring a unique vibe to songs and deserve credit for their work. He mentioned that Vicky Kaushal's previous dance numbers did not have the same impact as “Tauba Tauba,” crediting the song’s success to his choreography. Bosco had previously expressed his disappointment for not being properly credited for his work in “Fighter’s” songs “Sher Khul Gaye” and “Ishq Jaisa Kuch.”

Impact of Choreography
Bosco shared with India Today, “Vicky’s dancing is possible because of a man who made it happen.” He added that the success of “Tauba Tauba” is due to the vibe and style he brought to the choreography. Bosco believes choreographers should be celebrated just like how Madhuri Dixit and Saroj Khan were celebrated.

Vicky Kaushal's Dance Numbers
Bosco highlighted that Vicky Kaushal has appeared in many songs before, such as “Govinda Naam Mera,” but none had the same impact as “Tauba Tauba.” He attributed this to the way the song was directed and how the dance moves were captured. Bosco emphasized the importance of giving due credit to choreographers for their professional efforts in enhancing the actor's performance.

Criticism of Lack of Credit
Bosco, who was credited for “Tauba Tauba” on the YouTube channel, has previously criticized Hindi filmmakers for not giving due credit to choreographers. In January, he spoke up about this issue and later, in a chat with Siddharth Kannan, mentioned that it was crucial to raise his voice for choreographers to be recognized.

Previous Statements on Credit Issues
On Shakti Mohan’s YouTube channel Nritya Shakti, Bosco pointed out that visuals of a song are heavily used in film promotions, yet choreographers often do not receive credit. He noted that his name was absent from the credits of the song “Senorita” from the film "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara," even though he won a National Award for his choreography in the song.
